How to write a review that helps people

A good review helps the next customer decide. It also gets approved faster. Here is what works.

Describe what actually happened

  • Say what you ordered, used or booked, and roughly when.
  • Mention specifics: how long you waited, how staff behaved, whether the place was clean, whether the price felt fair.
  • Say what was good and what was not. Mixed reviews are often the most trusted.

Use your own words

Do not copy a review from somewhere else, reuse wording the business gave you, or paste text written by an AI tool. Reviews that look copied are rejected.

Be fair and respectful

Criticise the experience, not the person. Leave out personal details about staff or other customers, and avoid abusive language.

Make your proof easy to check

  • The screenshot should show your review live on the platform, including the text and rating.
  • Make sure it is not cropped, blurred or edited.
  • For visit-based campaigns, the bill or receipt should be readable.

Only review what you experienced

Do not review a place you have not been to or a product you have not used. Our Community Guidelines explain what is not allowed.
